Games help children develop essential life skills in an exciting and active way
The Soccerhood games have been designed to be fun, varied and engaging. This content will introduce you to our games and how they are structured, what they involve and which skills they work on, how they can be further enhanced and how you can share your feedback so the games can be improved.
You can use the "Table of Contents" to navigate to individual games or scan the QR code (using your cellphone camera) on a specific game card to be taken directly to the game online to learn more.
Each Soccerhood game has...
- An aim - This sets the scene and should be used to introduce the game and create some excitement.
- A game diagram - The circle is fundamental to each game. Each game diagram shows cones, players and coach positions. It also includes balls, secondary balls and imagery to demonstrate person and ball movement. All imagery within the diagrams are explained via a "" (which when tapped/hover over shows more detail)
- A "How do we play" section - This gives more detail to the game and expands on the game aim.
- A quick reference legend for No. of balls - This indicates the total number of balls required for the game (others should be moved out of the way to avoid injury)
- A quick reference legend for No. of players - This indicates the minimum number of players (very important in smaller circle groups)
- A quick reference legend for Game skills - These are the skills the game will be developing and should be worked on during the game. Use the "" to see skills definitions.
- A poll for game rating - An area for you to give your feedback on the games after having played them with your circle.
