  • ABOUT CONSTITUTIONAL KIDS

This wonderfully engaging book is narrated from the viewpoint of four children: Krishna, Mpho, Junior and Kayla. They explain what the constitution is, how it came about, what our rights are, how we can use them and how we got our rights ('special powers'). Through practical examples, it also explains the responsibilities which come with our rights.

The book emphasises the uniqueness and beauty of every single child, encouraging them to reach their fullest potential by embracing that individuality. It urges them to break free from the norm and become strong leaders who positively impact the lives of others. They are encouraged to be the change they want to see in the world and learn that they have the power within them to be anything they want to be.

Most importantly, this book aims to comfort children when they feel alone, hurt or scared by assuring them that there are people our there who care for them and want to help; all they have to do is call (the numbers of child line, child welfare etc are given at the back of the book).

Constitutional Kids is endorsed by South African celebrities: Barry Hilton, Derek Watts, MphoKgosana, The Hinds Brothers Band, DJ Fresh, KienoKammies and by Danny K's SHOUT Foundation.
